Contemplative days... Dangar Island
Enfolding into stillness - river silence

Description
This is a retreat for those interested in the contemplative life of a yogi. This has been the way I have been drawn for many years, slowly finding my way, into the deep threads of the wisdom which unfolds. We have to step away from what is catching us, let ourselves drop, learn to relax. We can be so busy, caught up in what we do not value. But if we reach inside we see other parts to ourselves, The need to go slower, to relish what is alive and in all creatures. To bring all parts of ourselves together, to welcome the quieter part of ourselves. Yes! We do have two hemispheres in our brain, the right brain will teach us what will sustain and nourish our beings, while the over-worked left brain is the linear, rational part which mostly behaves as the leader, but really needs to be the servant to the right side, so that we can know about other real things, like empathy, kindness, mystery. Now it is mostly the reverse. We are driven to be seen, succeed and know many things. Let us immerse ourselves into the days and hours of unfolding with care, in this magic place. 'The river will mind you' I was once told. The Retreat: Location: Dangar Island is one hour train trip from Sydney (alight at Hawkesbury River Station) and approximately a 70 minute drive (park in Brooklyn).
